New policing priorities

Following an open meeting with community members and businesses within Central Luton on Thursday 11th April 2019, the following policing priorities were set for the neighbourhood officers to tackle within the portland area:

1.)Drug Dealing

2.)Burglary

3.)Speeding

As the lead officer for tackling drug dealing across the area, I want to assure you that we will be working with local schools to ensure an early intervention, whilst focusing on executing more drug warrants throughout Central Luton. Additionally, we will be looking to close any locations which are detrimental to the quality of life for local residents and businesses.

If someone's criminality or anti-social behaviour is affecting you, then do not hesitate to report this to us. Please feel free to drop into any of our enquiry offices, call us via 101 or report online at https://www.bedfordshire.police.uk/. Alternatively, if you would prefer to remain anonymous, then please contact Crimestoppers on Tel. 0800 555 111 or report online via https://crimestoppers-uk.org/.

If you are interested in attending the priority setting meeting, then please make contact with myself by replying to this alert. These meetings are open to all, they're normally held quarterly and facilitate the setting of the policing focus within an area based upon the communities views.
